Devotion: God Has Already Counted the Cost

By Destiney Foster

“God knows the way that I will take & when He has tried me I will come out as pure gold” (Job 23:10).

Every setback, every failure, every disappointment, every deception! God already knew about it, & it didn’t come as a surprise to him. The decisions that I would make, whether I was wrong or right. He already considered it. He knew about it, before He laid his life on the cross for you and I. He knew we wouldn’t be perfect, He counted all the cost. So we wouldn’t have to live in bondage to anybody or anything. The blood still works and it will never lose its power.

God is perfecting us each and every day to become his real sons and daughters that He has called us to be. When we repent and ask for forgiveness even though it may hurt. God goes so far that he loves us so much that he remembers our sin no more. The Bible says he has “removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west” (Psalm 103:12). So we don’t have to live in regret or in our past failures because God’s mercies are new each and every morning. (Lamentations 3:22-23).

This morning I declare peace over your life in the midst of havoc, turmoil, and confusion. Peace be still!!!!!! I pray that you experience the peace of God that surpasses all understanding and knowing that there is only one enemy who is the author of confusion and his goal is to steal, kill, and destroy, but God came that we may have life & have it more abundantly. No longer do you have to live in a trap to the enemy, you can live and be free. Blessings!

  1. Often there’s misunderstanding out of all the good I do, go to friends for consolation and I find them complaining too, so many nights I toss in pain wondering what the day will bring but I say to my heart don’t worry the Lord will make a way somehow……….

  2. & He will once you lay aside every burden and give it all over to Him. He will make a way out of none, he will fight your battles, whatever you need God’s got it! Blessings & stay encouraged!
